Please read About Semtex Magazine.
We focus on the independent music scene and mainly cover artists that were overlooked by the mainstream music press. Not because they're not good, but mostly because they aren't backed up by huge million dollar promo companies. From indie to hardcore and punk, from post-rock to avant-pop and from scary metal to weird unstructured noise. It's all in here.
We're located in Belgium. Here's our postal address: About Semtex Magazine.

If we don't know you chances are very small. It's very hard to set up shows for unknown bands. You would end up playing in front of 6 people, and we would end up losing money... life's not fair.
Semtex originally was a printed magazine. Our first issue came out in 1998. We released seven issues and a split issue with Yoda magazine (#3,5). We do shows and promote independent music. Bands that played on our gigs include Cursive, The Vanishing, Atom And His Package, The Appleseed Cast, Jr Ewing, Pelican, Kid Commando, Fear Is The Path To The Dark Side, Yage, Das Oath, Electric Turn To Me, Hitch, Quetzal, Galatasaray, Kaospilot, Amen Ra, Blindfold etc. Semtex started out as a webzine in fall 2004, after being active as a widely known and highly visited music forum for over 3 years. As for now, we're up to version 3 of our website.
